Nodo Tanzania

Noe Naiman Tondi

Co-Founder & Director

Noe Naiman Tondi is a distinguished Tanzanian entrepreneur, visionary farmer, and coffee industry leader whose lifelong dedication has helped transform the landscape of Tanzanian coffee production and trade.

Born in 1952 in Mowo Village, Tanzania, to Naiman and Eliana Tondi, Noe’s early years on his family’s coffee, maize, and bean farm instilled in him the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity—principles that continue to define his leadership today.

After completing his education at Mowo Primary School, Noe began his career in public service as a ward secretary before training in tanzanite refining, which led to his appointment as general manager of the Tanzania Gemstones Industry. His entrepreneurial spirit later guided him back to his agricultural roots, where he established his own peasant coffee farm in 1990, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for coffee.

When global coffee prices declined, Noe demonstrated remarkable innovation by collaborating with the Taylor Winch Company as a private coffee buyer for six years—an initiative that reshaped the local coffee trade model.

In 2016, he founded Kusare Coffee Growers Limited, a community-based organization that empowered local farmers through collaboration with the Tanzania Coffee Board and Moshi District Council. His leadership facilitated the distribution of Arabica coffee tree seeds, rejuvenating coffee farming in the Kilimanjaro region and enhancing smallholder farmers’ livelihoods.

Building on this legacy, Noe co-founded NODO Tanzania Limited in 2021 alongside Douglas Malamsha. Together, they established a platform dedicated to buying, processing, and exporting premium Tanzanian coffee to global markets. Under his guidance, NODO has expanded to operate Tunywe Kahawa Africa, a brand focused on roasting and selling specialty Arabica coffee locally and internationally.

Today, Noe Naiman Tondi stands as a pillar of inspiration in Tanzania’s coffee industry—championing quality, sustainability, and community empowerment. His vision continues to inspire farmers, entrepreneurs, and coffee enthusiasts across Africa and beyond.
